1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SimpleBeacon, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and enterprise partners.
2. Service Description
SimpleBeacon provides independent, offline AI compliance auditing services for enterprises. Our offerings include:
- Complimentary AI Slop Audit with Executive Risk Certificate
- Executive Risk Certificate generation ($499 flat fee)
- Quarterly and Annual Protection Packs
- EU AI Act Readiness Sprint ($2,499)
- Continuous Shield — automated compliance monitoring ($1,499/month)
- Custom enterprise contracts ($50,000+ annual)
3. Complimentary AI Slop Audit
The complimentary audit is provided at no cost for initial risk assessment purposes. It includes:
- Offline deterministic scan on your local machine
- Executive Risk Certificate with A–F grade and estimated liability
- Plain-language remediation checklist
- 10-minute activation call with a compliance analyst
The complimentary audit does not include:
- Cryptographically signed boardroom deliverable
- Co-branded or white-label certificates
- Recurring monitoring or quarterly updates
- Priority support or direct analyst access
4. Paid Services & Enterprise Contracts
Paid services (Executive Risk Certificates, Protection Packs, EU AI Act Sprints, Continuous Shield, and enterprise contracts) are subject to additional terms. Payment is processed through Stripe. Enterprise contracts are negotiated separately and may include custom service-level agreements, on-premise deployment, and dedicated compliance analysts.
5. Zero-Upload Guarantee & Data Privacy
SimpleBeacon is designed to run entirely offline on your machine. No source code, file paths, or proprietary intellectual property is transmitted to SimpleBeacon or any third party. For paid services, you may optionally share an anonymized report JSON (severity counts and pattern IDs only — no code snippets, no file paths) for certificate generation. We do not retain, index, or share your data.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
SimpleBeacon services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our scans are deterministic pattern reviews, not legal conformity assessments. We do not guarantee detection of all issues. SimpleBeacon is not a substitute for professional legal counsel, SOC 2 auditors, or formal EU AI Act conformity certification under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SimpleBeacon be liable for regulatory fines, legal costs, reputational damage, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. For complimentary audits, liability is capped at $0. For paid services, liability is capped at the amount paid for the specific service.
8. Intellectual Property
All SimpleBeacon scanning logic, rule engines, certificate templates, and branding remain our exclusive intellectual property. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell our deterministic rule sets or certificate generation logic. You retain full ownership of your codebase, scan results, and generated certificates.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat all audit findings, reports, and business discussions as confidential. SimpleBeacon will not disclose your company name, findings, or engagement details to any third party without your written consent.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
